Kingfisher Kayak Co. started with two second-hand kayaks and a hand-painted sign on the north jetty. Ravi had been paddling the mangroves since he was a kid and kept getting asked by visitors where they could rent a boat. So he started taking them out himself.

Small groups, on purpose
We cap every trip at twelve guests. Small groups move quietly, which means more birds, more lizards sunning on roots, and a guide who has time to answer every question.
We look after the water
We never land on nesting banks, we carry out more rubbish than we bring in, and part of every booking funds mangrove replanting with the local school. Once a month the whole team spends a morning on a clean-up paddle. Guests are welcome to join for free.
Safety first, every trip
All guides hold first-aid and swiftwater rescue certificates. We check the wind and water every morning and will always move a trip rather than paddle in conditions we would not take our own families out in.
